As many of you know I’ve been focusing 100% of my production efforts on neurofunk and neurohop since 2011, and my debut release with Adapted Records was a neurohop release. So I decided to make this article and these video tutorials on how to make neurofunk bass. I love this style of bass. The sound design is so advanced and it is obvious when you hear it that it sounds unlike anything else you hear in music. I think this style of sound design will become more popular and will sneak its way into other genres and tempos of music. Don’t be surprised if you start hearing neuro-house a year from now! LOL. Maybe you will be one of the first to do it, if you love house and you love neurofunk. Anyway, here are the three tutorial videos I’ve made.

So you can see that it’s like a factory conveyor belt – sounds are made on one track/channel, bounced out into the next channel where effects are applied to the audio, then bounced out again into a third channel once you find a nice snippet of the audio with the effects automated on it.

Please let me know what you think of the final sounds I come out with. I’ll be making a lot more tutorials on this type of sound design in the future, and I may even be making a video course to get really in-depth on various techniques, so I appreciate your feedback, comments and suggestions so that I can make my future videos as good as possible.
